Germaine Greer

One of the early feminists from the 1960s in the UK, with a career as an academic at Warwick University, and appears to have got a comfortable life from her previous writings.

She is now in her 60s, but obviously is intent on never giving up.

This is an extract from an article she authored in 2002, about a stage show. She isn't concerned that the subject is rather unsavoury, and uses the topical domestic violence argument, when there is just as much domestic violence against men. She ends the article with riducule of the women taking part in this show, saying that they are involved in an "own goal for the women's movement".
