In 1997, all of our MPs were sent :
a copy of the UKMM's publication Discrimination Against Men in the UK;
a questionnaire asking their opinion about these discriminations.
A few MPs responded, mainly with interest. Jane Griffiths MP (for Reading East) replied with the following completed questionnaire.
We make no further comment on her response (see below), other than to direct attention to her response to item 9.
We point out that we believe that she was elected from a women-only shortlist and is referred to as one of 'Blair's babes'.
According to a report in The Daily Telegraph of 24 Feb 2004, she was de-selected in that month, for reasons not fully explained.
